Kenmare is a Heritage town known as “The Jewel on the Ring of Kerry” and The Lansdowne Kenmare is a landmark property in the centre of this special place.
The town was founded in 1670 on the Kenmare River estuary and at the foot of the Cork and Kerry mountains. The town has a distinctive triangular layout and has many handsome buildings including The Lansdowne Kenmare dating back to when it was part of the extensive Lansdowne Estate.
This pretty town has an impressive collection of restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs which sit alongside some amazing craft shops, galleries, independent boutiques, wine, and local food producers.
There is always a wonderful atmosphere in the town and each season is marked by special events and festivals.
