Neven’s Christmas at The Lansdowne Kenmare

Kenmare is getting ready for a very special Christmas!

RTÉ are coming to Kenmare this November, where The Lansdowne Kenmare will play host to the filming of Neven’s Christmas Special from 1st to 5th November.

Neven’s Christmas specials have become a much loved festive tradition on RTÉ, celebrating wonderful Irish food, local producers, Christmas traditions and, importantly, the people and communities that make each destination so special. And this year, it is Kenmare’s turn!

To mark the occasion, we want to have the town looking its very best and filled with Christmas spirit from Sunday, 1st November. Over the course of filming, Neven and his team will be out and about around Kenmare, visiting local businesses, meeting people and capturing some of the wonderful food, stories, characters and festive atmosphere of our town.

We would love for the whole community to get behind this very special occasion. We are encouraging businesses throughout Kenmare to have their shopfronts, windows and premises dressed for Christmas and ready for Neven and the cameras.

We will also need plenty of helping hands to get Kenmare Christmas ready, so we would love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer and help us put up decorations around the town ahead of filming.

This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Kenmare at Christmas to a national audience, but more than that, it is a chance for us to do what Kenmare does best: come together as a community, support one another and give Neven and the RTÉ team a very warm Kenmare welcome.

So dust off the fairy lights, find the Christmas wreaths and get those windows sparkling.
