Intimate Evenings at The Lansdowne Kenmare Live Music in the Poet’s Lounge

There is something quietly magical about live music in an intimate setting. At The Lansdowne Kenmare, we are delighted to introduce a series of carefully curated evenings in our beautiful Poet’s Lounge, where music, atmosphere and connection come together in a truly special way.

Throughout the year, we will welcome a selection of exceptional Irish artists for a number of these intimate performances. These are not large concerts, but rather close, immersive experiences where every note, lyric and moment can be fully felt. We were honoured to host Lisa Hannigan for our inaugural music sessions in the Poet’s Lounge in May followed by the legendary Mary Coughlan.  

Emma Langford - Friday, 19th June

We are honoured to welcome Emma Langford, one of Ireland’s most distinctive and captivating voices. Known for her hauntingly beautiful song Kells Bay, Emma’s music is rich in storytelling and deeply rooted in the Irish landscape. In the intimate surroundings of the Poet’s Lounge, this promises to be a truly atmospheric and memorable evening.

Jack O’Rourke - Saturday, 12th September

Later in the year, we look forward to welcoming Jack O’Rourke, a remarkable artist known for his powerful vocals and evocative piano led performances. His stunning piece Sea Swimming has resonated with so many, capturing a sense of connection, reflection and the pull of the Atlantic.

This will be an evening of depth, emotion and quiet beauty.

Liam O’Maonlaí – New Year’s Eve 31st December

Join us for a breathtaking New Year’s eve celebrations, with Hot House Flowers front man and regular musician of the Lansdowne Kenmare.

Our Poet’s Lounge series is about creating something meaningful. A space where artists and audience connect, where guests experience something unique, and where Kenmare continues to shine as a destination for culture, music and storytelling. Spaces for these events are limited, and early booking is recommended.  Artists with dates to be confirmed; Scullion, Gemma Hayes, Jack O’Keefe and Pilgrims…. Watch this space!
